Language requirements (Special case for Switzerland)
There are universities in the three linguistic regions of Switzerland: French, German and Italian. The teaching language of the university corresponds to the region in which it is located.
In most universities, there are language courses on offer to help improve competence. Many master’s degrees in economics, science or engineering can be taken in English. Some programmes are taught through English, so having knowledge of English can prove to be invaluable.
Evaluation of language competency (French, German, Italian or English) can be done in different ways: by Swiss embassies abroad, by the university administration or on the basis of examination results.

#Requirements for Bachelor's Program
A. Academic
1. At least 12 years of education (HSC equivalent).

B. Language Proficiency
1. If the medium of instruction of your target university is German:
a. Required German language proficiency test taking by TestDeF or DSH
b. The DSH test can only be taken at a German-speaking part university, while TestDaF can be obtained in a multitude of centres around the globe.
2. If the medium of instruction of your target university is Italian, required good knowledge in Italian language
3. If the medium of instruction of your target university is French, required good knowledge in French language
4. If the medium of instruction of your target university is English: 
a. Required TOEFL CBT score 213 or IBT score 79 to 80 or
b. Required IELTS band score 6.0
5. Applicant should check with his desired university for medium of instruction.

C. Course Length
1. Bachelor's Degree: Approx. 4 years of study

#Requirements for Master's Program

A. Academic
1. You must have had 16 years of education

B. Language Proficiency
1. If the medium of instruction of your target university is German:
a. Required German language proficiency test taking by TestDeF or DSH
b. The DSH test can only be taken at a German-speaking part university, while TestDaF can be obtained in a multitude of centres around the globe.
2. If the medium of instruction of your target university is Italian, required good knowledge in Italian language
3. If the medium of instruction of your target university is French, required good knowledge in French language
4. If the medium of instruction of your target university is English:

1. It depends on universities. Sometimes it requires GRE, GMAT etc.

Expenses
A. Cost of Study in (CHF)
1. Tuition fees for universities and colleges in Switzerland vary from institution to institution 2. The cost is approx. 1266 to 8000 (CHF) per year.

B. Living & Other Expense in (CHF)
1. Depending on the location of the university and personal demands, the cost is 1500 to 2400 ($US) per month including food, drink, leisure activities, transport, telephone, books, accommodation etc.
How to Apply to The University
1. Check with the departments to see if there is a closing date for your application.
2. You should write directly to the Institution's Admission Office for detailed application information and forms.
3. Some universities have an on-line application facility, and you find information about it from the university websites.
4. Admissions office will inform you about the documentation, translation, and visa requirements. 
5. You should start at least one year in advance to compile the necessary information and documentation.
6. The decision of the institution is usually announced within approximately six to eight months of the application deadline.

1. Official English version of all educational documents including marks sheets.
2. Your school/college leaving certificate.
3. English version of your all educational documents including mark sheet.
4. The test score of a language test you have taken
5. Passport photo
7. Photocopy of your passport 
8. Reference letter


Other Information
A. Health Service
1. Foreign students who intend to stay in Switzerland for longer than three months must take out health insurance; this is obligatory.
2. Students from states which provide international mutual aid are exempted from this obligation.
3. Other students can be exempted if they have equivalent insurance cover in their home country.

B. Working in Switzerland:
1. Students from outside Switzerland normally have the right to work 15 hours a week, as long as it doesn’t disrupt their studies. However, the workload of postgraduate programmes restricts work activity. 

C. Jobs in Switzerland
1. Job Categories: Camp Counselor, Nurse, Child Care, Hotel, Restaurant, Chef, Bar Work, Waiting, Cleaning, Factory Work, Shop Assistant, Travel & Tourism, Housekeeping & Maintenance, Campus job, Accounting, Front Office, Food and Beverage, Kitchen, Sales and Marketing etc.
2. Average wages: Student can earn from 15 to 35 (CHF) per hour.

D. Credit Transfer Facility
1. Students may apply for credit transfer program at undergraduate or postgraduate level in Switzerland.
2. The maximum amount of credit that may be granted normally is not greater than 50% of the course.
3. Most of the universities consider minimum "B" grade for acceptance.
4. You have to submit the following documents to your target university: 
a. Your application form for the Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program
b. Official copies of your academic transcript
c. Also include an official letter from head of the school/department of your university, from where you have already completed the courses.
d. Detailed course outlines (Official Copy) including subject descriptions, methods of teaching and assessment, reading lists, number of hours of teaching etc.
e. The academic level you are studying (e.g. First Year, Second Year etc.)
f. How many credits you have completed
g. An explanation of the grading system used at your institution.
h. Information on the total units of study requirement ( i.e. how many credits are required) for the completion of the degree.

E. Scholarships
1. There is a huge number of scholarship available on the International Scholarship Database of Federal commission for Scholarships (FCS) Website
2. Swiss scholarships for university studies, fine arts and music schools
3. Swiss Government is Offering Scholarship.
