               Chinese Government Scholarship

In order to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship betwseen the Chinese people and people from the rest of the world, the Chinese Ministry of Education offers a variety of scholarship programs to sponsor international students and scholars to undertake studies and research in Chinese institutions of higher education.

Basic Information

• Application Deadline: April.10 2013
• Time for Issuing Results: Mid-June 2013
• Suitable Students: Freshmen
• Amount: Full scholarship including tuition, lodging, comprehensive medical insurance, medical care, learning material and living allowance

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be of non-Chinese citizenship and under the age of 40.
2. The applicant wish to study master degree programs in CQUPT.
3. The applicant must satisfy other application requirements of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications for foreign students.

Application Materials

1. Application Form
2. Photocopy of passport
3. Highest diploma (University students or applicants employed shall also provide proof of studying or employment on application. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English)
4. Academic transcripts (Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English).
5. Recommendation letters (only for postgraduate studies, or study in China as senior scholars)
6. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take medical examination due to the 6-months validity of the medical results.)
7. A study or research plan (It must be in Chinese or in English. Undergraduate applicants are required to submit a study or research plan of no less than 200 words, and no less than 800 words for graduate applicants.)
8. Articles or papers written or published.

Application Procedures

1. Register In CUCAS
   Click "APPLY NOW" of current webpage and complete regitration (Need to login for Registered Users).
2. Apply Scholarship Through CUCAS
   Enter "CUCAS ONLINE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION SYSTEM" after successful registration. Complete the online application form.
3. Upload Application Materials
   Enter "CUCAS ONLINE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION SYSTEM" after successful registration. Upload compulsory documents. Please refer to CUCAS system for details.
4. Submit Application
   Enter "CUCAS ONLINE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION SYSTEM" to click Submit Botton.
5. Application Materials Verification
   The school will verify whether your materials are complete or not.
6. Fill in Application Form Online
   Enter "CHINA SCHOLARSHIP COUNCIL APPLICATION ONLINE SYSTEM" to complete the application form, ENTER
7. Wait for Results
   Get results in late June.
