MBA Scholarships for International Students in University of Edinburgh, UK, 2013

The Business School at University of Edinburgh is offering full time MBA Scholarships in September 2013. Five MBA Leadership Scholarships, each with a value of £10,000 and eight MBA Director’s Scholarships with a value of £5,000 each are awarded for international students. Applicants should already have been offered a place on one of the programmes, and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so are eligible for applying these scholarships. Online scholarship application should be made before 24th May 2013.

Eligibility: -Applicants with an excellent academic record and a good GMAT score can apply for these scholarships.
-Applicants who hold full sponsorship are not eligible for either scholarship.
-Applicants offered a place on one of the programs, should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so and they have not yet paid their deposit, they will be required to pay within two weeks of being offered the scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The Business School will offer five MBA Leadership Scholarships, each with a value of £10,000, and eight MBA Director’s Scholarships with a value of £5,000 each for the duration of 12 or 16 months of full-time MBA in September 2013.International students can apply for this scholarship. All applicants will be considered for both awards, but to be awarded the Leadership Scholarship applicants must be able to demonstrate leadership potential. If an applicant is successful in being awarded a scholarship, but subsequently declines their offer of admission to the MBA program, the award of the scholarship will be withdrawn and awarded to another applicant. An award may be withdrawn if a student fails to meet the academic standards set by the University.

What does it cover? The Business School will offer five MBA Leadership Scholarships, each with a value of £10,000, and eight MBA Director’s Scholarships with a value of £5,000 each.
Selection Criteria: All applicants will be considered for both awards, but to be awarded the Leadership Scholarship applicants must be able to demonstrate leadership potential. Following the application deadline, the applications will be shortlisted and the selected applicants will be asked to submit an essay on a Business School-specific question (maximum 500 words). Shortlisted applicants will have two weeks in which to complete and return this essay directly to the Business School. Final scholarship decisions will be made on the basis of this essay.
Notification: A decision will be made within two weeks of the essay return deadline.
